Ah yes, 8 track tapes. The technology was simpler then. Even the studio mixes were simpler. My 1969 Ford Fairlane had a broken wire on the right side speaker. So when I played my 8-track of the Mamas and Papas, I could hear the Mamas but not the Papas.
